Algorithmic trading involves a plethora of indicators and
strategies. The objective is to develop an interface for traders to
test strategies and visualize the results in a graphical manner.
This would allow them to develop a directional view of the market
and identify trading opportunities. Traders can gain insights about
relevant stocks such as entry and exit points, associated risk
involved, expected reward, holding period etc.
The idea is to obtain stock market data (open, high, low and close
for each day), identify candlestick patterns and use technical
indicators/oscillators to establish the trend of a stock or index.
Each analysis is to be accompanied by a brief documentation of
the strategies that have been used to obtain the results. This
would allow the platform to be used not only by seasoned traders,
but also newcomers who may not be familiar with the
implementation details of every strategy.
